Dr. James E. Rasmussen is a BOARD CERTIFIED Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who has been in practice for thirty years. Dr. Rasmussen received his dental degree from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. After receiving his DMD in 1976, Dr. Rasmussen completed his residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Louisville in 1980 and in 1982 became a diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Rasmussen was an associate professor of Oral & Maxillofacial surgery from 1980-82 at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Since 1982 Dr. Rasmussen has been in private practice in Arlington and Manassas, Virginia. Dr. Rasmussen is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, member of the American Dental Association as well as the Southeastern Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, Virginia Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, and Mid-Atlantic Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons.
